Why invest in a 3-temperature wine fridge?
Both attractive and practical, electric wine fridges allow you to store your wines in the best possible conditions. There are various models of innovative wine fridge now available on the market to suit every need. Among them, the multi-zone wine fridge. So, let’s take a closer look at all the many benefits it offers.
What is the point of a triple-zone wine fridge?
To fully appreciate the bouquet of a wine, it is essential to serve it at the right temperature. Each type of wine has its own specific serving temperature:
-
6 to 10°C (42,8 to 50°F) for crémants, champagnes and rosé wines;
-
10 to 13°C (50 to 55,4°F) for white wines;
-
14 to 18°C (57,2 to 64,4°F) for fruity, tannic and more mature reds.
If a wine is too warm or too cold, it can lose its olfactory qualities, become too alcoholic and fail to sufficiently develop its bouquet.
To enjoy a red wine at its ideal temperature, leave the bottle at room temperature. For a white wine, place the bottle in the fridge for a few hours. To reach the desired tasting temperature, place it in the bottle compartment of the fridge door. This is not an ideal way to cool wine, as not only does it require special attention, but it also “shocks” the wine. This is a potentially complicated process, especially when you want to open a bottle on the spur of the moment!
To enjoy your wines (reds, rosés, whites and champagnes) at the perfect temperature and at any time, there is a versatile solution: the multi-zone wine fridge.
How does a 3-temperature wine fridge work?
A single-temperature wine fridge keeps your bottles at a uniform temperature of between 5°C and 18°C. This is known as a wine fridge, and its purpose is to conserve your wines over the short to medium term.
The multi-zone wine fridge features three temperature zones, so you can store and bring all types of wine up to serving temperature.
Featuring three separate compartments, this wine fridge allows you to :
- chill your white and rosé wines to between 5°C and 10°C (41 to 50°F) in the lower section
- keep your wines at a temperature of 9 to 14°C (50 to 58°F), regardless of their hue, in the middle zone
- bring your red wines to an ideal temperature of 15 to 20°C (59 to 69°F) in the upper section.
